CERTIFICATION LEVELS
Certification Program Levels
There are different classifications in the CCS Certification Program depending on whether your company is considered construction or non-construction. The determination is based on your responses to the “Type of Work” questionnaire on the application.
- CCS-IDOL Certified Partner
- CCS Certified
- CCS Qualified
- CCS Participant
- CCS Verified Vendor
- CCS Conditionally Verified Vendor
To be CCS Certified, you must meet the following requirements:
- A three-year average TRIR and DART rate equal to or less than 80% of the national average for your NAICS code
- Have no cited fatalities for the past three years
- Meet all of the SPRS mandatory criteria
- Score 50% or higher on the SPRS best practices
- Pass a program audit
If you attain CCS Safety Certified status, you can submit a letter of intent to join the CCS/Indiana Department of Labor (IDOL) Partnership. To become a CCS/IDOL Certified Partner, you must:
- Complete the CCS/IDOL Partnership Agreement which includes submitting monthly safety data
- Have a three-year average TRIR and DART rate equal to or less than the Indiana average for your NAICS code
- Be approved by the Indiana Department of Labor
For CCS Qualified status, you must meet the following requirements:
- A three-year average TRIR and DART rate equal to or less than the national average for your NAICS code
- Meet all of the SPRS mandatory criteria
- Have no cited fatalities for the past three years
- Pass a program audit
For CCS Particpant status, you must meet the following requirements:
- Meet all the SPRS mandatory criteria
- Have no cited fatalities for the past three years
- Pass a program audit
- Provide a risk mitigation plan
For non-construction, contractors are either CCS Verified Vendor or CCS Conditionally Verified Vendor.
To be CCS Verified Vendor, you must meet the following requirements:
- A three-year average TRIR and DART rate equal to or less than the national average for your NAICS code
- Meet all of the SPRS criteria
- Have no cited fatalities for the past three years
- Pass a program audit
To be a CCS Conditionally Verified Vendor, you must meet the following requirements:
- Meet all the SPRS criteria
- Have no cited fatalities for the past three years
- Pass a program audit
- Provide a risk mitigation plan
INCOMPLETE
Please be advised that you must complete all the required elements of the CCS Certification Program in order to receive a status. You will be classified as "incomplete" if you do not:
- Meet all the mandatory SPRS criteria
- Do not provide all required documentation
- Do not complete a required program audit
